The "Balloon Dog" by Jeff Koons is the most expensive work by a living artist: At an auction in November 2013, the steel dog was made into the orange version, a $ 58.4 million. He likes knotted balloons in the shape of animals. Koons loves plants that look like oversized toys or chrome everyday objects. source:  http://www.dw.de/themen/kultur/s-1534 Vocabulary: auction - leilão steel - aço knotted - atado oversized - de grandes dimensões chrome - cromo _________________________________________ Aulas de Inglês Via Skype ou Presenciais em Belo Horizonte : http://aulasbh.googlepages.com Contato: (31) 9143-7388 Video Dicas de Inglês do Prof. Newton (Canal do Youtube) : http://www.youtube.com/user/dicasdeingles Blog de Inglês dos Profs. “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” is a song written by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released in 1971 as a single by John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir. It was the seventh single release by Lennon outside of his work with The Beatles. The song reached No. 4 in the UK, where its release was delayed until 1972, and has periodically reemerged on the UK Singles Chart, most notably after Lennon’s death in 1980, at which point it peaked at No. 2. Originally a protest song about the Vietnam War, “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” has since become a Christmas standard, frequently covered by other artists and appearing on compilation albums of seasonal music, and named in polls as a holiday favourite. Inglês com Música! "Heroes" David Bowie (Letra,Vídeo,Tradução) #dicasdeinglês

"'Heroes'" is a song written by David Bowie and Brian Eno in 1977. Produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti, it was released both as a single and as the title track of the album "Heroes". A product of Bowie's fertile 'Berlin' period, life in the city was crystallized into a tale of two lovers who come together in the shadow of the 'Wall of Shame' (though here "the shame was on the other side"). While not a huge hit at the time, the song has gone on to become one of Bowie's signature tunes and is well known today for its appearance in numerous advertisements. It has been cited as Bowie's second most covered song after "Rebel Rebel".[1] David Bowie - Heroes I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can beat them, just for one day We can be Heroes, just for one day And you, you can be mean And I, I'll drink all the time 'Cause we're lovers
