Como usar o verbo LET O verbo let é usado de várias formas. Pode ser acompanhado de preposi- ções, de outros verbos, de objetos diretos. Significa “deixe-me” ou “vamos” Vamos ver alguns exemplos com objeto direto. Quando oferecemos algo, a pessoa com a qual falamos pode pedir para pensar, a fim de decidir se quer ou o que quer, como neste caso abaixo entre Beth e Ian. Beth – Do you want chocolate or strawberry ice cream? Ian – Let me see… Chocolate. (Deixe-me ver , chocolate) Nesse caso, let me see quer dizer deixe me pensar ou deixe me ver. Vamos ver outro uso do verbo let? Imaginem David e Beth em um engarrafamento de quilômetros.
